Jinghong YU (James)

James is an Vice President at Cathay Smart Energy and based in Shanghai office. He is in charge of screening, evaluating, executing and managing Cathay Smart Energy investments. Prior to joining Cathay in 2020, James worked as an Associate at Macquarie Capital’s principal investment team in Shanghai for 3 years, focused on equity investments in clean energy related infrastructure and technology space. Prior to that, James worked at Macquarie Capital’s investment banking team in Hong Kong for 2 years where he advised on cross-border M&A transactions and carried out Hong Kong IPO sponsor work. James graduated from Boston University Questrom School of Business, with a Bachelor degree in Business Administration, concentrated in finance and accounting
