Mi WANG (Mi)

Mi is the China Head of Cathay Ecosystem, based in Shanghai. She is responsible of building and managing the unique ecosystem of Cathay while she also participate in screening, evaluation, execution and monitoring of Cathay investments. She has 13 years of experience in investment, corporate strategy, business incubation, post invest management, strategic M&A and post-merger integration in mainland China. Prior joining Cathay, she was an Investment and Post-invest Director of PingAn Global Voyage Fund (“GVF”) where she led post-invest management team and cover the healthcare and fintech investments in China. She sits on the board of GVF’s portfolios and assist offshore portfolios setting up their business in China. Prior to GVF, she was a Senior Director of strategy and investment at PingAn’s healthcare and fintech BUs who set up the healthcare ecosystem in PingAn Group and participated in incubating 3 business units in healthcare and fintech sector as strategy and PMO (Project Management Office) lead. She also worked for VIP.com where she oversaw investment, corporate strategy and business incubation. She commended her career at Deloitte as a Senior M&A and Tax Adviser. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science with Applied Mathematics from Tsinghua University, and a MBA from INSEAD.
