Marika PUPPINCK RATHLE

Marika Puppinck Rathle is an Operating Partner CAP at Cathay Capital, with over 20 years of experience in international consulting firms specializing in entrepreneurial support and executive search. Prior to joining Cathay Capital, Marika spent nearly eight years at Spencer Stuart in the Consumer Practice, including four years as Co-Leader of the Retail & Luxury Practice for the EMEA region. She was also an active member of the Digital and Private Equity Practices. Most recently, she has worked in the support of French Tech and Next 40 start-ups. Prior to joining Spencer Stuart in 2014, Marika was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles and a member of the EMEA Strategy Committee. From Paris, San Francisco and London, Marika has assisted international groups, family-owned and fund-owned companies with their development and governance issues: board recruitment, CEO succession, and senior management. She has also been involved in consulting assignments involving the mentoring of executives and entrepreneurs. Earlier in her career, she worked in the legal department of ABM Amro and then at Singer, Danton & Hamilton until 2001. Marika graduated in Law from the Robert Schuman University in Strasbourg and in European Law from the Catholic University of Louvain, Erasmus program. She is an auditor of the Ecole de Guerre and a member of the Board of the Start-up/Scale-up Club of the French Institute of Directors. She holds various positions as an independent director and investor.
