Victor LUIS

Victor Luis is an Operating Partner of Cathay Capital. He has over 25 years of experience leading luxury brands. Currently, he serves as Executive Chairman of Moose Knuckles, where he is also a major shareholder. Prior to joining Moose Knuckles, Victor was the chief executive officer and on the board of directors of Tapestry, Inc. (formerly known as Coach, Inc.) (NYSE: TPR) from where he led the company’s transformation into Tapestry Inc., a New York-based house of modern luxury brands including Coach, Kate Spade and Stuart Weitzman. Prior to his elevation to CEO he led the company’s international businesses, driving the business to over $2 Billion with leadership positions in China, Japan and several other Asian markets while firmly establishing a foundation for growth in Europe. Victor also served as president and chief executive officer of Baccarat, Inc., where he ran the North American operation of the French luxury brand. He joined the Moët-Hennessy Louis Vuitton Group in 1995, ultimately advancing to president and chief executive officer of its subsidiary, Givenchy, Japan Incorporated, before leaving in 2002. Victor Luis is an independent director of Deckers Outdoor Corp. (NYSE: DECK) and Farfetch Ltd. (NYSE: FTCH). He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Arts degree in International Economics from University College, Durham University.
